Dear Samson,
I am having trouble getting pottied trained. I am 4 months old and still don't get it. How did you learn to "go outside"?
wet & troubled
Dear Wet & Troubled
I quickly learned to do my business outside with bells. Mommy has a string of bells at the back door. Every time she thought I needed to go, she would take me to the back door and push my nose to the bells so they would jingle. I learned in just 4 days that if I wanted to 'go out', all I had to do is jingle the bells and Mommy would come right away and open the door. Give it a try and let me know how you make out.
I do have this problem. For me, it's when I'm bored and I want Mommy to play with me. As soon as I get her attention, the barking stops. So if your schnauzer is barking at nothing, get his attention with a quick game of fetch. That's all he wants.. . your attention. After a few minutes of playing, he should stop barking and you can go back to your tasks.
